Holiday Open House @ the Museum

Join the staff of the Dacotah Prairie Museum for holiday cheer! Museum exhibits will be dressed in holiday finery, live music, fun family activities, decorate an old fashioned sugar cookie, enjoy refreshments and treats and be sure to visit jolly ol' St. Nick in Christmas Tree Lane. This is a free event

The Granary 2018 Summer Season

This year was a big year for the Granary Rural Cultural Center. It opened on June 1 with the second annual "Create! on the Prairie II" group art show highlighting area and South Dakota artists in the Granary Gallery. Many pieces reflected the varied landscapes and scenes of the South Dakota prairie in acrylics, oils, watercolors, sculpture and jewelry. The show culminated in a closing reception on Sept. 30.

Benjamin Reifel Biography Book Presentation by Dr. Sean Flynn

Dr. Sean Flynn, professor of history and political science at Dakota Wesleyan University, will present his latest book; a biography of Benjamin Reifel, former Aberdeen resident and the first Lakota to serve in the U.S. House of Representatives (1961-1971).
